Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Forward Map is developed and published by Nian Shou Digital (“we,” “us,” or “our”) in Singapore. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the Forward Map application (the “App”).

2. Data We Collect

We do not collect project data on behalf of Nian Shou Digital. Forward Map has no Nian Shou Digital user account or cloud backend for project data, and we do not receive Forward Map project data through normal use of the App. If you enable or use Forward Map’s iCloud synchronisation, Apple’s CloudKit service may store and synchronise that project data through your iCloud account.

If you contact us for support or another enquiry, we may receive the information you voluntarily include in that communication, such as your email address, message, and any attachments or other information you choose to provide. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive or confidential project information.

3. Project Data

Project data you create or manage in Forward Map is stored locally on your device and may also be stored and synchronised between your devices through your iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit service. Nian Shou Digital does not operate a backend that receives or stores that project data.

4. Import and Export

Forward Map supports JSON import and export. When you import a JSON file, the information in that file is handled on your device for the import you initiate. JSON exports remain under your control. If you save, send, upload, or otherwise share an export using another service or system, that handling is outside Forward Map and is subject to the practices and terms of the service or recipient you choose.

5. In-App Purchase

Forward Map offers a 14-day free trial and a single lifetime purchase through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes App Store purchases and related payment information under its own terms and privacy practices. Nian Shou Digital does not process or store your payment card details.

6. Apple and System Services

Your use of Forward Map is also subject to the operation of your device, operating system, Apple ID, App Store, iCloud, CloudKit, and any system services you choose to use. If you use Forward Map’s iCloud synchronisation, Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services may process and store synchronised project data in accordance with Apple’s own terms and privacy practices. This Policy does not govern Apple’s handling of information.

7. Third-Party Services

Forward Map’s integrated iCloud synchronisation uses Apple’s CloudKit service through your iCloud account; it does not require a Nian Shou Digital cloud service for project data. Where you choose to interact with another service outside Forward Map—for example, by saving, sending, uploading, or sharing a JSON export—that service’s terms and privacy policy apply. We are not responsible for those third parties’ privacy practices.

8. Children’s Privacy

Forward Map is a general-purpose project-planning application and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through normal use of Forward Map. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through a support communication, please contact us so that we can consider the request.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Because project data is stored locally on your device and, if you use synchronisation, may also be stored in your iCloud account through Apple’s CloudKit service, and is not received by Nian Shou Digital through normal use, we do not retain it on our systems. You control project data through Forward Map on your devices and through the controls Apple provides for your iCloud account, subject to the operation of Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services.

We may retain support communications for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, maintain our records, or meet legal obligations.

10. Security and Backups

You are responsible for maintaining backups or exports appropriate to the importance of your project information. Forward Map should not be your sole repository for important project information. We do not undertake to recover deleted, corrupted, lost, or inaccessible project data.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will identify its effective date. Changes take effect when the updated policy is published, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
